Slow Food Greater Olympia Member Survey Summary
The following is a summary of the results of the Spring 2010 Member Survey. The full survey results can be found here.
The mix of Slow Food events is appreciated: Respondents appreciate the diverse Slow Food events and information about related events.
Increase local food focus: Many respondents asked for a greater focus on local foods. For example, some respondents asked that dinner events be based around locally available products and that cooking events feature preparation of seasonally and locally available foods. [Look for more focus on local foods at future events]
Timing of events is a challenge: Event timing will continue to be challenging as members have different needs. Some want Tuesday or Wednesday night events, some want weekend events and some want family oriented events scheduled when kids could attend. [Look for events that involve the kids later this summer.]
Food activism is appreciated: Food activism is an important part of Slow Food for the majority of respondents.
Slow Food emails are of value: Emails about events are of value to the majority of respondents.
